How to Change Password on Windows 10

The first thing you have to do is enter Windows Settings. To do this, you have to click on the Settings button in the notification panel or the one that appears in the left column when you open the start menu. You can also open the settings by pressing the Windows + I button at the same time.

Once you are inside the Windows configuration, you will see different sections in which all the available options are ordered. On this initial screen, click on the Accounts section to enter to configure your account or the login options of the operating system.

Once you are within the Account options within Windows settings, in the left column, click on the Login options section (1). When you enter, go down a little and click on the Password option that will appear with a key icon.

When you click on Password, the option with an explanation will be selected. Here you can create the Password to log in if you do not already have it, but if you have already established one, click on the Change button to be able to change the current Password for another.

How to Change Password on Windows 10 from Settings

Step 1. Tab on Start icon, and from there, click on the gear icon to open the Settings window. As shown in the below image:

Note:  Alternatively, you can also use a keyboard shortcut – pressing Windows logo + I to open the settings panel.

Step 2. Further, from the Settings window, you click on the Accounts tab. Check in the below image:

Step 3. After that, click on the “Sign-in options” from the left panel. As shown in the below image:

Step 4. Then you click on the “Change” option found under the Password segment. Check the below image:

Step 5. It will open the Microsoft Account dialogue box for you where you have to enter the current Password. Press next. Check in the below image:

Step 6. Afterward, on the following panel, you enter your new required Password two times as well as set a password hint. As shown in the below image:

Step 7. As you click on the Next button, you’ll be done with changing the Password for your system!

How to Change Password on Windows 10 from Computer Management.

Step 1. For this, you right-click on This PC icon on your desktop.

Step 2. From the list of options tap on the “Manage.” As shown in the below image:

Step 3. A Computer Management window will pop up on the screen. From there you double tap on the “Local Users and Groups” option at the left panel. Then click on the Users folder. Check in the below image to understand the steps:

Step 4. From the further details right-click on the name with which you have created Admin account on of your system. From the list of the menu click on the “Set Password’ option. As shown in the image below:

Step 5. A dialogue will pop up, hit on Proceed button there. Check in the below image:

Step 6. Finally, from the Set Password box enter the desired Password twice and click on the OK button to set new password windows in 10. As shown in the below image:
